Mobility Study
A Mobility Study is the start of the process to defining a new system deployment. The purpose of the Mobility Study is to understand your business processes, where there are gaps and challenges and to identify areas where technology solutions could provide solutions. The MiTEQ business process specialists will spend time observing and measuring existing processes. They will interview operators to understand where they experience challenges, and compare the defined SOPs with real world practise. Following on site observations and interviews the team will produce a report with recommendations that can then be taken through to a Proof of Value or Proof of Concept.
Time & Motion Study
MiTEQ advise undertaking Time and Motion studies to identify how long tasks take to complete with in an environment. By undertaking the measurement, you will have an initial benchmark or baseline that can then be used as a comparison to ensure that any modifications or new solutions will be providing the expected process improvements. MiTEQ’s process experts will measure and document existing processes, then return to conduct the same measurements following a new deployment, to provide the comparative data on how improvements have been achieved.
Proof of Value
A “Proof of Value” or “Proof of Technology” activity is designed to help customers understand whether a new technology solution would work in their environment and has the potential to deliver expected savings or improvements. This is a less in-depth activity than a full Proof of Concept and typically will only last a few days. The aim from the activity will be to provide initial confidence that it is worth progressing to the next stage in testing and design, both from a technical and financial viability perspective. MiTEQ’s technical and business process specialists will spend time testing and documenting findings, to help you produce a business case to move to the next phase in your discovery process.
Proof of Concept
Where a Proof of Value should help to confirm initial viability of a solution, a “Proof of Concept”, or PoC, is typically a multi-day/week system deployment. This will involve installing infrastructure, systems and software, configuring to the environment and running for a period of time. During the PoC you can expect to have regular check-ins with our technical and project teams to ensure that testing is proving valuable and any required process or systems changes can be applied. The output of a Proof of Concept would be a report of the performance and would contribute to a System Design for the final rollout .
